Feed Scanner provides robust features for saving, editing, cloning, deleting, and sharing queries, allowing users to manage their search parameters efficiently. Below is a comprehensive guide on how to use these features.
Save a Query
Enter a valid set of parameters in the Query box.
Click the Save button in the top right corner.
Enter a unique Search Name.
(Optional) Add a Description for clarity.
(Optional) Include Tags to classify your saved searches.
(Optional) Check the Save column headers with the query box to preserve reordered columns.
Click Save.
Access all saved queries in the My Searches section by clicking the My Searches button and navigating to the Saved tab, where you can filter, sort, or search queries by name.
Edit a Saved Query
Edit the Query
Open the saved query you wish to edit.
Make changes to the Expression boxes (e.g., field values, operators, or filters).
Click the Search button to re-run the query.
If the query is private, click the Update button to save changes.
Edit Metadata
Open the saved query.
Click the three-dot menu () icon in the top right corner.
Select Edit Metadata.
Update the Search Name, Description, or Tags as needed.
(Optional) Select or deselect the Save columns checkbox to adjust column-saving preferences.
Save the changes.
Delete a Saved Query
Open the query in the My Searches section.
Click the three-dot menu () icon in the top right corner.
Select Delete.
Confirm by clicking the Delete button in the confirmation modal.
Clone a Saved Query
Click the My Searches button.
Select a query from the Examples, Recent, or Saved tab.
Modify the parameters in the Query box as needed.
Click the three-dot menu () icon in the top right corner.
Select Save as.
Enter a unique Search Name.
(Optional) Edit the Description or Tags.
(Optional) Check the Save column headers with the query box to save reordered columns.
Click Save.
The cloned query will appear in the My Searches section under the Saved tab.
Share a Saved Query
Click the My Searches button.
Select the query from the Examples, Recent, or Saved tab.
Click the three-dot menu () icon in the top right corner.
Select Share.
A success notification will confirm that the query has been shared with the organization.
