Across the listed modules in the application, we made the following updates in Release 4.6:

Web Scanner

We improved how we segment our datasources in Web Scanner. Our Web Scanner datasources are now separated into six categories:

  • Web Scan: Raw web and certificate content.
  • Dark Web: Dark web infrastructure from the Tor browser.
  • Open directory: Open directories and their files.
  • Banner Scan: Non-HTTP services and their banners. For example, SSH and DNS.
  • Browser Scan: Browser-rendered web content and certificate content.
  • WHOIS Scan: Domain registration and change information from WHOIS.

We improved the user interface in Web Scanner and made the following changes:

  • Drop-down fields display data that is only relevant to the datasource the user selected.
  • Results table shows columns that are specific to the datasource the user selected.
  • Modal to configure columns offers options that are specific to the datasource the user selected.
    We improved the management of a user’s saved queries in Web Scanner. Users can now:
  • Search for saved queries by query name.
  • Add a tag to a saved query.
  • Filter their saved queries based on the visibility status of the query as Private or Shared.
  • Filter their saved queries by tags that they assigned.

Note: Available for Enterprise customers only.

We introduced Intelligence On-Demand; users can use analyst credits to purchase services performed by our Threat Analysts (TAs). For more information about analyst credits, go to our Purchase Analyst Credits page.

Users can:

  • Buy analyst credits from the Subscription page.
  • View the total analyst credits that a user has spent and purchased.

WHOIS Data

Users can use our new WHOIS Data module to search through WHOIS data and WHOIS History. We added the following to the application:

Total View

We improved Total View to include Domain Wide View, users can view the subdomains of the APEX domain that’s related to the hostname of their query.

Domain Wide View is now available in the following locations in the application:

  • Web Scanner
  • PADNS
  • Screenshots
  • Subdomains

With Domain Wide View, users can now:

  • View historical subdomains related to the domain.
  • Include subdomains from the following tabs:
    • Web Scanner: Include all subdomain results of the APEX domain.
    • Screenshots: View the hostname on all screenshots.

Pivot Point Control

We standardized the Pivot Point Control modal in the application for a consistent experience when pivoting in the following types of indicators:

  • IP
  • Domain
  • URL

With the standardized Pivot Point Control, users can now:

  • Pivot to Total View from an IP indicator, a Domain indicator, or a URL indicator.
  • Perform live scans and pivot to full scans.
  • Save indicators to feeds and collections.
  • Request takedowns from anywhere in the platform.
  • Perform web scan queries and DNS queries from an IP indicator, a Domain indicator, or a URL indicator.

Takedown Service

Note: Available for Enterprise customers only.

We added Takedown Service to Brand Impersonation in the side navigation menu. We also improved the user experience by completing the following changes:

  • Domains in the Tranco Top 10k list cannot be submitted for a takedown request.
  • Changed the status Taken Down to Offline.
  • Changed the status of the takedown submission to green to indicate that we have completed our responsibilities in the takedown request.

With the Takedown Service, users can also now:

  • Download the evidence report that is associated with a takedown request.
  • View the Scan Date to understand when we last verified a takedown status was successful.
  • View the Status to understand the validation status for a takedown submission.
