The Insight module serves as the central hub for fast, comprehensive threat intelligence searches across the Silent Push platform. It provides a unified search experience for investigating domains, IPs, URLs, emails, phone numbers, HTML titles, and other observables.
This guide covers how to use the Insight module effectively and demonstrates powerful HTML title pivoting and advanced filtering techniques shown in the latest video tutorial.
Search for Insights
Use the powerful search bar at the top of the Insight module to enter any of the following:
Domain
IP Address (IPv4 or IPv6)
URL
Email Address
Phone Number
HTML Title
Other observables
New: Email & Phone Number Search
You can now search directly by email address and phone number using the main Search for Insights bar. This enhancement allows seamless investigation of phone numbers and email addresses alongside domains, IPs, URLs, and other indicators — all from one central search field.
What You’ll Get
After performing a search, Silent Push intelligently suggests the most relevant next steps, including:
Total View — Complete overview of all available insights
Subdomains — Enumerate related subdomains
WHOIS — Ownership records and history
Threat Feeds — Check against known malicious lists
Similar Domains — Detect impersonation or typo-squatting risks
Screenshots — Historical captures of the site
Live Scan Integration
From Insight, you can also launch a Live Scan (Simple, Advanced, or Full) directly to get real-time data, screenshots, and content analysis for any URL.
HTML Title Pivoting & Advanced Filtering
The video demonstrates how to perform domain pivoting and advanced filtering using HTML titles within the Reconnaissance module.
Key Learning Points:
Pivoting from Total View: Enter a domain on the landing page and navigate to Total View.
Accessing Web Scan Data: The detailed scan history is located under the Web Search tab and shows all previous scans, dates, and associated HTML titles for a domain.
Executing a Pivot Query: Clicking a hyperlinked HTML title in the web search column opens pivot controls. Select “Web Search Equals” to initiate a query in the Context Graph Search.
Broadening Searches with Operators: Use the “Contains” operator to search for any scan containing a specific keyword (e.g., “silent push”).
Reducing Noise through Exclusion: Use “Web Search Not Equals” on a specific URL or origin to filter out false positives or known safe results. The query updates automatically.
Direct Search: From the landing page, enter a keyword and select the “HTML Title Pivot” option. This prepopulates the Context Graph Search with the “Contains” operator.
