    Pivoting through PADNS data

    • Dark
      Light

    Article Summary

Silent Push allows you to perform a one-click operation that pivots through passive DNS data from a single observable, and perform queries and reverse lookups from the same menu on a range of records:

    • NS
    • TXT
    • Any (IPv4 or IPv6)
    • CNAME
    • A/AAAA
    • MX
    • PTR4

Pivots can be performed by left-clicking observables on the Explore screen, on selected enriched data elements and query responses (basically anywhere that you see the Lookup PADNS button next to a piece of data).

    1. Start by populating the Explore screen with a list of passive DNS observables (You can do this by either performing a quick lookup using the search bar on the top navigation bar, or by performing an Explore DNS Indicator search)

    2. Left-click the observable name under the Query column

    3. Choose a forward or revery query type to perform by selecting the appropriate record

    4. Click Lookup PADNS

    5. (Optional) Leave all fields blank to lookup a list of all associated records

    6. Once you've received your results, left-click the column headers to order your data
